LIVEIHOOD SUPPORT
On November 23, 2024, Padma Venketaraman launched a Livelihood Support Programme aimed at empowering visually impaired persons to lead independent lives. The programme was designed to provide essential resources and support to train vendors, enabling them to enhance their livelihoods. The Livelihood Support Programme was organized as part of the birthday celebrations of Janaki Amma, the mother of Padma Venketaraman(our patron). This initiative served as a tribute to her legacy, promoting the values of compassion, empathy, and empowerment. The programme included the distribution of Chair making Coir, Burfi and Blankets to the train vendors.
