IMPACT DAY
SFRAWD, in association with United Way of Chennai & Deloitte, organized an Impact Day for the women with disabilities and parents of differently abled children’s on 29 November 2024. The event aimed to provide a platform for participation, leisure, and skill- building activities for the beneficiaries. M. Lalithambigai, President of SFRAWD, delivered the welcome address for the event and P.Aruna Devi, Treasurer of SFRAWD, shared her thoughts and words, highlighting the significance of the programme. Around 50 members participated in the program, including beneficiaries from Vyasarpadi, Kannaginagar, and Alwarpet, along with 14 employees from Deloitte & UWC. In Morning Session, Vegetable printing and other activities were conducted, allowing beneficiaries to explore their creative side and in the afternoon Session Painting session, where beneficiaries could paint based on their own choices, under the guidance of Mala, Tailoring teacher, Kalpana, Jute bag making teacher and Sabira Begum. The event was success with the participation of beneficiaries, Deloitte employees and UWC employees.
